The primary objective was to provide seismic velocity\r\ncontrol for detailed field mapping and to provide additional reservoir data for\r\nthe Statfjord Field development.\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eOperations and results\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eWildcat well 33/9-3 was spudded with the semi-submersible\r\ninstallation Norskald on 15 September 1974 and drilled to TD at 2992 m in Late\r\nTriassic sediments of the Statfjord Group.\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eThe target reservoir Brent Group was\r\nencountered at 2411 m. It contained oil all through down to top Dunlin Group at\r\n2599 m. The base of the reservoir was encountered above the oil water contact.\r\nThe reservoir quality was excellent with average measured core porosity of 29%\r\nand measured permeabilities up to 7.7 Darcy.\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eA total of 152 m core was recovered in 13\r\ncores from the interval 2422.9 m to 2622.2 m in the reservoir section. Total\r\ncore recovery was 76.1%.
