The main targets for the well were\r\nDanian limestones, Jurassic sands, and Oligocene sands. \u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eOperations and results\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eWildcat well 2/3-3 was spudded with the\r\nJack-up installation Ocean Tide on 8 October 1971 and drilled to TD at in Late\r\nPermian Zechstein salt. Operations went without major problems except for some\r\ndelays due to bad weather (on 17 November with winds in excess of 40 m/s and\r\nseas up to 17 m). The well was drilled with Bentonite and salt gel down to 269\r\nm and with Spersene mud with 2% - 6.5% diesel from 269 m to TD. \u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe well drilled a thick\r\nTertiary/Quaternary section, mainly represented by grey sandy clays of Pliocene\r\nand Pleistocene age and by brown clays and mudstones of Oligocene to Miocene\r\nage. The Paleocene and Early Eocene consisted of varicoloured clays. No\r\npotential reservoirs (sands, sandstones and limestones) were found in the\r\nTertiary.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eA moderate thickness (235 m) of Chalk was\r\npenetrated. The top 41 m was of Danian age (Ekofisk Formation, the remainder\r\nwas of Santonian-Maastrichtian age (Tor and Hod Formations). One hundred and\r\nforty seven meters of Early Cretaceous rested on Kimmeridgian shales. From the\r\nbase of the Kimmeridgian downwards, the section was poorly fossiliferous and\r\nonly tentatively dated. The only shows observed were elevated methane readings\r\nin sand stringers in the interval 400 m to 900 m and in shales below this\r\ndepth. No liquid hydrocarbons were observed in any part of the well. No cores\r\nwere cut and no fluid samples taken. The well was abandoned as dry on 20\r\nNovember 1971.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eTesting\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eNo drill stem test was performed\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\r\n",
