The primary objective was to test the chalks in\r\nthe Late Cretaceous and Early Paleocene.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eOperations and results\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eWildcat well 2/4-12 was spudded with the\r\nsemi-submersible installation Ocean Viking on 28 July 1975 and drilled to TD at\r\n3383 m in the Late Cretaceous Tor Formation. No significant problems were\r\nencountered in the operations.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe well was found dry. There were no\r\nshows while drilling and electric logs showed low porosities and high water\r\nsaturations. Five cores were cut. Core 1 was cut in the basal part of the Våle\r\nFormation and topmost Ekofisk Formation. Cores 2 and 3 were cut in the Ekofisk\r\nFormation, and cores 4 and 5 in the Tor Formation.
