The primary objective\r\nwas to test the Dogger Sands (Middle Jurassic), which were gas bearing in\r\n15/6-2 R, at a structurally higher position on a large north south trending\r\nanticline.\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eOperations and results\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eWildcat well 15/6-3 was spudded with the semi-submersible\r\ninstallation Drillmaster on 5 September 1974 and drilled to TD at 3795 m in\r\nLate Triassic sediments of the Skagerrak Formation. A lignosulphonate seawater\r\nmud was used to drill the well. \u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eThe Dogger sand from top at 3488 m to 3579\r\nm was hydrocarbon bearing. The resistivity log indicate gas down to a massive\r\ncoal layer at ca 3562 m. The true gas/water contact was not established. There was\r\n63 m of net gas bearing sand with average porosity 21% and average water\r\nsaturation 21.%. The Triassic was not a viable reservoir. The only major shows in\r\nthe well were in the Dogger reservoir sands.\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eA total of 125.8 m core was recovered\r\n(90.7 % overall recovery) in ten cores in the interval 3512.2 to \u00A03650.9 m.
