The objectives were to\r\ntest the reservoir quality of the Statfjord Formation and the extent of the low\r\nGOR oil encountered in the 34/7-3 and 34/7-4 wells. No significant problem was\r\nencountered in the drilling phase. After DST 1 parts of the test string stuck,\r\nleaving a fish with top at 2533 m in the hole. The fish was pushed down 12 m to\r\ngive space for further testing. The well was drilled with spud mud down to 965\r\nm, with gypsum/polymer mud from 965 m to 3015 m, and with Drispac/Ligcon mud\r\nfrom 3015 m to TD.\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eApart from the sandy Utsira Formation of Late\r\nOligocene - Pliocene age, and sandstone units of Early Oligocene age (1215 -\r\n1280 m) and Middle - Late Eocene age (1370 - 1420 m) within the Hordaland\r\nGroup, the upper section down to the Jurassic proved mainly claystones.
