The Frigg Field was discovered by well 25/1-1\r\nin 1971. Production from the field started in 1977. A main objective of well\r\n25/1-7 was to establish a reference monitoring station for the production of\r\ngas from the Frigg Field. The 25/1-7 R4 was the fourth and last re-entry of the\r\nwell.The purpose was to log the fluid contacts, and to perform permanent\r\nplugging and abandonment. \u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eOperations and results\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eAppraisal well 25/1-7 R4 was connected\r\nand re-entered with the semi-submersible installation West Vanguard on 28 March\r\n1990.\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eThe well was logged (2054.5 - 1913 m) through\r\ncasing with a Thermal Neutron Decay (TDT) log to determine the fluid contacts. The\r\ngas/water contact was found at 1912.2 m MSL, an 8.0 m rise of the water level\r\nsince April 1989, and a 35.8 m total rise compared to the Frigg pre-production\r\ngas/oil contact in the area.
