It is located in the Norwegian Sea at the boundary between the Dønna\r\nTerrace and the Nordland ridge. The primary objective was to prove hydrocarbons\r\nin the Cretaceous (Coniacian) Lysing sandstones of the Cromer Knoll Group. \u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eOperations and results\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoBodyText\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eWell 6608/8-2 was spudded with the\r\nsemi-submersible installation Ocean Vanguard on 14 October 2007 and drilled to\r\nTD at 2831 m in the Late Triassic Red Beds. The well was drilled with seawater\r\ndown to 1507 m and Aquadrill mud from 1507 m to TD.\u003c/span\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp class=MsoNormal\u003e\u003cspan lang=EN-GB\u003eThe well was dry without shows.
