It was drilled to test the A-South prospect at\r\nTriassic level.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eOperations and results\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eWell 16/7-6 was spudded with the\r\nsemi-submersible installation Stena Dee on 27 June 1997 and drilled to TD at\r\n2725 m in the Triassic Skagerrak Formation. A 36&quot; hole was drilled from\r\n103 - 178 m. The 30&quot; casing was set at 176.5 m. A 9 7/8&quot; pilot hole\r\nwas drilled to 1160 m. No shallow gas was observed. The hole was opened up to\r\n17 1/2&quot; down to 1160 m and the 13 3/8&quot; casing was set at 1153 m. The\r\nwell was drilled with seawater down to 176.5 m and with Ancotec oil based mud\r\nfrom 1176.5 m to TD.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe well encountered the Skagerrak\r\nFormation sands at 2564 m. A total of 140.5 m of these sands were drilled\r\nbefore the well was terminated at 2725 m. Of this, petrophysical evaluation\r\ngave 134.4 m net sand with 20.3 % average porosity. The entire reservoir was\r\nwater bearing. No shows were reported from any section of the well.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eTwo cores were cut from 2562 to 2626 m in\r\nthe Skagerrak Formation. Seven MDT water samples were taken at 2621.6 m.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eThe well was permanently abandoned on 24\r\nJuly 1997 as a dry well.\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eTesting\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\u003cp\u003eNo drill stem test was performed\u003c/p\u003e\r\n\r\n\r\n",
